Music is a universal language. The genre I like the most is
drum & bass. I started listening to drum & bass when I was 15 years old and I discovered the genre on the Internet. The first track I heard was
Style from the Dark Side, produced by
Aphrodite. Later on I discovered more and more tracks from different producers. The more I heard, the more I got addicted to this music genre. Right now, my most favorite Belgian drum & bass producer is
Netsky. My second choice would be
Murdock, and then of course there's a whole bunch of international producers out there.
Drum & Bass
BreakzForum.be is the most popular drum & bass related message board in Belgium. It's possible to discuss several aspects of the drum & bass scene there. Check out this thread on BreakzForum.be to download some drum & bass mixes and post your own. Those of you who create their own tracks and/or mixes can also post their stuff there and discuss drum & bass in general. My nickname on the message board is Benito. I've posted there a few times in the past, but haven't anymore in a long time.
Goa Trance
My nephew Tom, on the other hand, is more into the goa trance scene. He spins his records on small parties from time to time, using his DJ name Psytek. There's an interesting Belgian goa trance related message board called Psychedelic.be. Check it out for more information about goa trance.
The following are Tom's most favorite home-made mixes.

Comments (Psytek): "I've played at dozens of parties since I started out, here in our crazy Belgian psychedelic community. I've also started to organize parties on my own called "Shape Shifters", along with DJ Agneton and DJ Ah-Téhla. We stand for a cosy and friendly atmosphere, always looking for the craziest and best hidden locations."
"If you want to book me, I will always adapt to the DJs who play before me and after me, to stay true to the story of the line-up. I can play dark/acidic oldskool goa trance, forest trance or suomi saundi at night, or a melodic goa trance set in the morning or afternoon. But I prefer a mixed set where I can build up from one style to another. E-mail me at tomsecember@hotmail.com if you want to book me."
